Wounded

Wounded

Wounded from the womb
belittled matter he became

Wounded from a kid
bitter matter he became

Wounded as a man
belittled values he had

Wounded he remained
bitter values he still has

Wounded he refused
to continue to remain

Wounded he resembles
to continue to still remain

Wounded he realizes
doesn't create who you are

Wounded he realizes
doesn't break who you are

Wounded is okay
If you accept the scars

Wounded is okay
If you love yourself

Wounded and loved
he decided to move on

Wounded and loved
he decides is the only way

Love for himself
broke the chains

Love for himself
broke the life curse

Wounded and healed
love leaves him strong

Wounded and healed
love gives him strength

Cosmo reminded me of poetry, as a kid I wrote poetry to express myself because I wasn’t allowed to feel comfortable enough to do so to my parents. It gave me confidence, and it allowed me to feel good. Reacquainting myself with poetry has been a life saver and love affair I cannot get enough of! Thank you for noticing love. ❤️Xo Rob
