YELLOW BRICK ROAD

Follow the Yellow Brick Road...Follow the Yellow Brick Road...Continue treading this widened path and you and you will NEVER see the Streets paved in gold...Ruby Red Slippers in a cup, a glistening cocktail; Tap my heels three times, now drag me closer to Hell! Scarecrows with stitches, no brain in his head; The Tinman has no heart! I am amongst the Walking Dead! The poor Lion has no courage! He trembles in fear! Must I consult with the Wizard to find out how I got here? Talking trees throw poisoned apples, should I give in like Eve? A Wicked Witch is seeking me but I won't be deceived! This is all a bizarre daydream from the forces down below; A state of Opiate induced euphoria, Somewhere Over the Rainbow. Keep skipping down the Yellow Brick Road with Munchkins at my feet; They giggle at my intoxication as I stumble through the street. Emerald City isn't far! I smell the herbs burning in cigars! A scenery of toxic greenery is worth walking in the dark! A black forest closes in on me, the trees begin to sway; I rest beneath a fallen house until the light of day. When daylight comes and Munchkins sing I make my way again; A prism bubble leads the way in which the Good Witch dwells within. Extraordinary before my eyes she floats with graceful ease; Guiding me to Emerald City where hazy eyes sift through the weeds. Break it down, roll it up, pop another pill; Strike the match, inhale the smoke, click my Ruby Heels. Strolling on pure Ecstasy, the world seems bright and bold; My path widens like the Lion's mouth: Follow the Yellow Brick Road. Onward march! I carry on, many colors streaming by; Along the way beasts are stirring: Lions and Tigers and Bears? Oh My!! I am most certainly not in Kansas, no, not anymore...I do not believe I ever was...The twister lifted up my house and when I walked through the door, the scene was of destruction, the carnage of the storm. Yellow roads and yellow pills, disaster in a glass; Drunken thoughts and vivid dreams...another high has passed...
