We see it coming, but we look the other way
turn a blind eye and get on with our day
switch off the negative, reality on mute
instead distraction, filters, cute 
ignoring the impact yet fixated on gossip
another death toll aired, but what about a celebrity’s new trollip
Escaping from truth by listening to L.A rumours 
while the worlds leaders are killing more people than tumours. 
We know but protect ourselves from our mess
The reality of it all is fear and stress 
we put our heads down and look for the distraction 
we our doing what they want,  they have us in action
