Poem -

You

I wondered if I could put myself into your world
Not just as your other half
But as the vibrations that cause all of your constant frustrations
Because the wheels that turn inside your head, turn differently in mine
And I would kill to understand the deepest thoughts that consume you late at night

As I look down at the sweat dripping from your hands
I know you’re not sure if what you’re doing is fine
I wasn’t there to tell you that this would make your eyes cry at night
And I couldn’t find you to let you know that your heart is about to fight

Now you’re empty inside
And I couldn’t tell you about all the times that I’ve cried
Because my tears never stop
They’re along for the ride
