You Ask why I cry

You Ask why I cry
Youv'e taken away my self esteem and like a discarded rag,
Hang me loosely out to fly,
Yet now you sat and chastise me and ask me why constantly,
Must I cry?
A heart with holes, leaks fluids I am told,
And life runs lucidly dry.
It has now grown cold, no life does it hold,
So watch it closely as it die.
No pitter patter does remain, I felt it as it strained,
Malice I can’t deny.
Like a fist it clinched, with one turn of a wrench,
Fix it I did try.
As it took its last beat, what a hell of a monumental feat,
To it I said goodbye.
Like a bird it had spent a weeks, day, it came and went,
As I watched it fly.
A cold life does not spare, nor does it even care, from its hands,
Whose heart, must we pry.
So when you come home and you feel you’re alone, gives no reason,
To ask yourself why.
