Poem -
" You Lie "
Let me explain
I feel the strain don't
lie anymore
you let me down like
you have before
my body cried out, racked
with pain
now it's my turn
let me explain
you've taken my trust
tore it apart
stomped on my love
breaking my heart
for all your promises
. for all your lies
I still fought, but
"God " they were right
toxic man, when you
. would leave
I'd hear the screams
you lied to me
you'd come to me but
run back to her
you'll never change I
know for sure
you've said your sorry
so many times
it's over now
just......
say.........
" goodbye "........

Hello Teresa, this write shines of an inner strength just waiting to burst out and take control of a bad situation. There is nothing worse than someone who is meant to love us, always making us miserable. I loved how this ended too, like the relationship crumbling your words broke down to singular wording, which fitted the feel of this poem.
