YOU RAISED ME HIGHER

Lord, you raised me up from destruction when I was just a child
And you always stood by me, despite the hardship and trials
I dreamed I’d find loving parents, or a friendly face at least
At Five years old, I had no home, and I had no peace

The trauma that my young eyes saw, I didn't think would end
I had no home to grown in for long, I had no parents and no friends
And as I grew in darkness, I grew more in your light
I still saw two side of people, just like day and night

Lord, as, I grew older, you taught me to be
The greatest version of myself, rebirth set me free
My soul is pure, and my vision was clear
You always gave me hope, despite growing up in fear

I moved away from the Newfoundland at the age of Seventeen
I was so full of hope, full of life, full of dreams
I got to live in freedom, for six beautiful years
And each day I laughed out loud with friends, I had no reason to shed tears

I was only Twenty-Two years old, when medical madness took me down
Then I lost two pregnancies, my hopes and dreams were turned around
Lord, you still stood by my side, trying hard to protect me
While the devil ruled my world, that's all I could see

Lord, you raised me up higher, whenever I fell down
You kept my mind, spirit and soul, locked up safe and sound
Lord, I prayed for hope each day at all cost
And you always raised me up higher, whenever I felt lost

Lord, the doctors broke my body, and their medical devices almost took my mind
Each day I fought two cruel systems, getting lost in their silent crimes
The years passed slowly,  and I refused to give in
And I believed in you more each day because you were my only friend

Lord, it took Thirty-five years, but I made it out alive
And because I fought for justice, I broke their rules, I was crucified
Now I sit in my sanctuary, with courage, peace, love and faith
And I can see a different future before me, and I'm in a different place

Lord, you helped me find mind power and I turned the darkness into light
Now I help empower your angels, helping them every day and night
Lord, all the poems you speak to me, I freely share
As a reminder to all your beautiful angels, When in need, that someone will be there

I survived much more than is written down, and you will too
Because when you look into your mind, you'll see a beautiful truth
My angels, you can make a new path, when you have a vision and dreams
Then you will feel your abundance, bursting at the seams

My angels, nothing in the darkness can ever take you down
Unless you make it the king of your mind, and give it a royal crown
Because, you are the creator, and this is YOUR DESTINY

Angel, look forward, not backward, create a vision of your life
Because each day is a precious gift, and God gave you second sight

Create a new life plan and bless each day when you awaken
Because angel, this is your life and dreams, and it won't be overtaken
You are the creator and you are the architect
So, create the greatest life of all that others won't forget
