The Rose that Rescued Me

When I thought that all my roses had wilted and faded
I found I was mistaken, there was one only one tucked away
Hidden from all of the rest yet the most beautiful
The most sensual and mysterious  the one I had missed
All along I was merely just being but not really feeling
Until I met you I had forgotten what the rose smelled like
What the rose felt like I had heard only in a song so long ago
But you came into my life unexpectedly almost random
Not noticing at first but then I heard your voice, I realized something
It was clenched into my hand with your name printed on it
 I had lost myself along the way then suddenly you appeared
The faded, wilted almost dying feeling began to go away
You found me, see I needed you
And I believe you needed me too

I almost missed out on this
moment opportunity 
To feel love once again to be loved even more
to feel needed, to feel strong when things seem wrong
I thought I was ready to leave this world alone, but now I never want to go
Wounds of the past may follow and that is okay
If I am not just dreaming then it’s okay if I bleed some once in awhile cuz it is real to heal
Please rescue me and I will rescue you with hearts that beat
The summer has just began and I feel the suns warmth around us
Finally I know who I am and I don’t want to miss you this time
Kiss my neck gently draw me nearer please, oh please
Could it be we have always been there just waiting wondering
To find the words to find the scent so sweet 
Now let’s live for love making lasting a life time of meaning 
Could it be that you are the rose that rescued me
Or did I rescue you?
