Poem -

Young Love

Negative thoughts seem

To have more power

Than the sweetest dream,

Like serpents under a flower.

They say the youth cause trouble,

That their fires burn too bright,

The flames become a muddle

Of dark thoughts and the light.

When the sea and stars combine,

When you are truly mine,

I’ll know it’s only the end of one line,

When we can truly say we are fine.

Once you’ve felt that way,

Once you’ve opened your mind,

Can we even remember the day

When we left all sense behind.
