Your Face

Your Face

Your smile lights up my dreams
at night like the 4th of July and
One of your eyes is my sun
shining down on me on a hot
summers day and the breeze
hits my face at just the right time,
the other is my moon because
when I look up into it I know I have
found my way forward and I'm not
afraid because your light guides me
My love is an ever consuming enchanted
forest that falls over you like a warm blanket
on a midwinter's night, and the cold dies
