Poem -

You’re nothing Jess

I’ve tried.
I pushed every last inch of breath out of my body to make you happy,
It wasn’t enough.
They say words can never hurt us,
But how can I be happy when all I hear is how I make everyone unhappy.
To make yourself happy you’re ment to surround yourself with positivity,
Sounds easy right,
Now tell me how to surround myself with happiness when all you do is point out my flaws.
You make me miserable Jess.
You kill the mood.
That’s ment to make me happy?
Sorry for not beaming with joy while I’m nursing the wounds from your words.
But that wasn’t enough,
You add more,
Salt,
Lemmon,
Until I’m nothing but a drop of rain plummeting into the storm of self hate,
Waking up everyday miserable that nothing happened to me in my sleep.
And you want me to be happy?
Tell me how you’d be happy if I said all this to you?
