Yummy

Yummy

Get out of the food trap from a low self - esteem,
it's attacking your willpower, making you scream.
if only your insides could pull out a plug,
then scrub out the junk with a rub a dub, dub.
Your loving the enemy, but at the same time it's war,
ticking of calories while stuffing in more.
The scales climb to heights with a sickening tale,
making you feel like a splurging beach whale.
Your tripping, not skipping with an energy low,
walking slow motion in an unfit flow
Your clothes lay in dormant, they haven't a say,
zippers on freeze from the try me on day.
And don't forget selfies that trick yourself thin,
where you feel like a goddess with a little less skin.
Forever the past strays to memory lane,
where you back track to skinny, hiding the shame.
A love hate relationship that plays like a game,
where emotions run wild and can't seem to be tame.
If only your taste buds could suds out the flavor,
Zap, snap your yum for a healthy behavior.
Get out of the food trap of a low self - esteem,
that'll lower your mood with its cookies and cream.
A yummy subtraction from a sugar caress,
will have you fit into that cute little dress.
I say "GET OF THE WAGON from a sugar free fall,"
so abdominals can breath while deflating that ball.

Great poem!  It is hard to lose weight when food tastes so good. I constantly worry about my weight. My friends tell me I am slim but when I look in the mirror I really dont see it. To try and lose weight I count my steps ...phone app. I walk as many as I can each day. As for food. I have restarted an old habit from when I was in my teens. I chew the food but then I spit it out. It's probably bad ... but I am soooooo worried about my weight. All I want to do is lose weight. 

So, yeah, great poem x

Ahhh... Strength training, you say. Is that working with weights? I want to start running again but I have a poorly knee that just won't have any of it. I managed 3 steps running last week and for 3 days after that my knee was murder. But strength training sounds like it might be okay. Thanks x

yes training with weights. With running you will just lose muscle mass and end up with more injuries. Your body wants strength????
