100 Word Story - Appearence of a Rainbow

Sunday Afternoon, another day of Church over. As I walk past the bridge that would lead me to my parents I wonder, wonder what it must be like for the rainbow lorikeet to fly with their colours so proudly. 
Rain hits my face as I walk away from home. I watch rainbow feathers soar over the trees, toward the heavens.
I chase them. My legs ache and my heart thumps with the need to scream. I stop only when the fluttering of rainbow wings drowns out the sound of my breathing. As I look for the source of the sound I see not only dozens of rainbow wings, but a rainbow light.
I smile.
