Avalon Part 5

As dawn approached the Oceans waves seemed to be coming in a little lower than usual. Tyler Harrington stood wide eyed on the shoreline with a bewildered look on his face. His surfboard stood upended in the sand with his arm wrapped firmly around it. Written on its smooth surface were the words Adversary. They stood out in bold letters, centred to view. His surfing ability was unique with his style caught the eye of any onlooker.Ā
The height of a wave at its peak never deterred him. He would take it on without ever giving a second thought. His rivals were often left standing open mouthed as they watched him ride it with confidence and precision. Only on the odd occasion would they be left searching a broken wave, anticipating when he would resurface after tumbling from his board. Some of the women admirers would jump at the chance to towel the water from his bronzed body as he strode in after his ordeal. Many of them knew he was single, no one could take his interest more than the Ocean though. He enjoyed his freedom, the open space. Maybe that's why he loved it so much. The exhilaration that surged through him was enough to take his breath away. A builder by trade, he never wanted a job where he was confined behind four walls.
Tyler stood for awhile in thought as daylight shone its first rays on the Waters surface. The morning view was certainly not what he expected. There was no doubt that the days waves were certainly not for the taking. He ran his hand through his brown wavy hair and shook his head in disbelief. He picked up his surfboard and turned to walk away, but not before something shiny caught his eye.Ā He walked over and picked it up and as he brushed the sand from itĀ realized it was a gold bracelet. He gazed at it admiringly as it hung from his hand. It didn't take long before he realized thatĀ it had something written on its inner surface. After taking a closer look, he read out the word, "Avalon."Ā

Interesting. How will it play out into the wider story, I wonder? A tryst, or the beginnings of a WomanHunt, or perhaps the inciting event for scandalous romance. How captivatingly enthralling. Please, write on. You have piqued my curiosity.
Thank you for reading it and I will certainly take a look at yours.Ā
