Chapter 23

The Blue Bag

Lamia is kneeling before Lucifer and appears in the image of her host body Sandy the dental hygienist wearing the green dental smock and tan pants. Lucifer is beside himself with joy to see his most dependable seducer.
 
“Please tell me, Lamia, how are things going with Joe Havard?”
  
“Lucifer I intend to invade his mind. He has felt the touch of my skin. He has absorbed my most powerful pheromones and smelled me. I will drive him wild with desire to taste me on his lips but
without a release, he will be so consumed by his own lust for me. If things go well he should feel so disgusted with his loss of controlling his own mind he should want to teach God a lesson and kill himself. I intend to invade his mind not only when he sleeps
but when he is completely awake.”
 
Lucifer smiles and tells his servant, “Excellent! When he does kill himself his soul will be mine and we will cast him into The Lake of Fire. Then I can visit his Father and remind him I have kept my promise and have destroyed what he loves.”
 
It is four am in the morning and Joe is again dreaming of his Mother. He sees her at the top of steps leading to the attic. She tells him not to come up the steps but he ignores the warning and walks past his Mother to a door. He knocks on the door and hears someone inside. He turns the handle and slowly opens the door and walks into the dark room. He pulls the lamp chain and sees Sandy sitting on the floor with blood running from her mouth. She is holding Joe’s head and eating his brain with a spoon.
 
Something grabs Joe while he is still viewing his nightmare and he wakes up.
 
“Where is it?”  Tommy asks again, “Where is the Blue Bag with the money!”
 
Joe half asleep shouts, “What money?”
 
Tommy’s face is inches away from Joe. Joe looks directly into Tommy’s face and he thinks he sees the Devil himself.
 
“Give me my bag or I will Kill You!”
 
Joe has never seen his brother this angry and when he tries to fight him when he is enraged like this Tommy has the strength of ten men. 
 
Joe tells Tommy, “ I don’t have your Fucking Bag so go ahead and Kill Me! I would rather be dead that live with you!”
   
Tommy leaves Joe’ s room and both brothers go back to bed. It’s Sunday morning and Joe rises and goes downstairs for breakfast. He sees Tommy sitting in his Mothers chair smoking away and he has a glass of whiskey on the table next to the chair. Joe walks past Tommy and into the kitchen to make his breakfast and Tommy calls to Joe from the TV room, “ I want that bag back.”  
 
Joe continues to make his breakfast and when he is done he eats it quickly and goes back upstairs to the second floor TV room.
 
“Where is it?”  Tommy asks.
 
Joe replies, “ I do not know,”  and continues to the TV room. He sits down and turns on the TV. Tommy stands in front of him and demands an answer, “If you do not give me the money I.” 
 
Joe kicks Tommy and yells, “Get the Fuck out of the way!”
 
Tommy pulls Joe from the chair and the two start fighting. He punches Joe three times in the head and Joe yells out, “Ma said no hitting in the head!” 
 
 The two continue to fight as blood falls from Joe onto his Mothers prized French Provincial chair.Tommy starts pushing on Joe’s neck and making him feel very uncomfortable when Joe falls out of the chair and onto the rug. Tommy continues the attack when Joe looks straight ahead and sees a blue bag under his brother's headboard.
 
He shouts, “You Fucking Dope. The bag is under your bed!” 
 
Tommy stops the fight and goes to look under his bed. He pulls the bag from under his bed and counts the money. The blue bank money bag contains over Three Hundred Thousand of Bank Certificate of Deposit, Cash and a special German Coin. He is satisfied nothing is missing and return to talk to Joe.
 
“Do you see this coin. It is a German coin from 1847. Do you have any idea how much it is worth?”
 
Joe quietly says, “ Ten bucks.”
 
Tommy replies, “Ma said this coin is worth over one hundred thousand dollars.”
 
“If it is so valuable why don’t you get a safe deposit box at the bank?”  
 
Tommy replies, “You want the Bank to steal this coin?”
 
Joe mockingly tells Tommy, “ Thanks for  not killing me.”  The two brothers avoid each other for the rest of the day.
