Modification (Part 5)

The scene of prosecution was tolerable. Tori's friends stood well clear
of the masquerade that had just presented itself. Addison and Tori had taken
centre stage as the unveiling ofĀ their friendship become apparent. It took
some time for Addison to recover from her blushing state which had her feel as
though she were under the desert sun. HerĀ make up was about toĀ dishevel her skin tone
Ā and the possibility ofĀ  hiddenĀ freckles appearingĀ had now become a hugeĀ possibility.
Ā Her hidden sanctuary wasĀ about to beĀ discovered.

Her thoughts shifted as anĀ engaging Tori focused her attention on Addison's
chest. Addison knew straight away what she was thinking. Addison bit her
lower lip in the hopes the conversation wouldn't present itself. Unlike Tori,
there was nothing plasticĀ about Addison to accommodate a conversation.
The plainĀ Jane of Addison's features though would sooner or later lead the
gossip trail. AddisonĀ decided on keeping her mouth shut when it came to
Tori's assets, she wasn't about to give her the satisfactionĀ ofĀ discussing justĀ
how well fitted she looked.

It was evident to Addison that Tori would do anything to get noticed. Her boundaries
lay well above the normal standards of looking good. This chapter in Tori's life wasĀ certainly
Ā making a bold statement, but was Tori going to far, did she have hidden insecuritiesĀ
that lay boundless?Ā Addison pushed the thought aside and focused on Tori's
fuller lips that had been injected to precision.Ā The peachy colour that savoured
them matched her sunĀ kissed skin as the thin straps of her dressĀ sat just belowĀ
her shoulders.Ā There was noĀ doubting that Tori wouldn't be subjected to anything
but perfect.Ā  AddisonĀ knewĀ she must stand firm on her beliefs that worked
well in her world. Change wasn't necessary and natural would always win out
in the long run. God knows what ghastly horror could occur if perfection were to
be placed in the wrong hands of science.Ā

Ā She would have to throw out the prospect and not worry so much about fitting in.
Her thoughts hadĀ became anĀ entanglement of wires that refused to adjust.
Silently she scoldedĀ herself as the warm hand of Tori rested on her shoulder.
Her touch was welcoming, secure.Ā "I've missed you Addison, she quietly spoke,
we have so much to talk about." Addison nodded in agreement,Ā she had to act
loyal in the face of adversary asĀ the challenge presented itself.
