Another Time

I wish I could go back to all the friends who once I adored,
and beg their forgiveness for forgetting them in my grief.
I am sorry,
But can I truly be forgiven?
For not making an effort to let them in?
What sad excuse for a person am I?
I wish I had another chance,
And I wish that I deserved one.
