Thanks for Coming But ..

I don’t need your pity,
or your
sympathy right now ..
But those tears
of yours, sure do look
pretty in the last
of my frayed sunlight ..
And although,
I really could have
used some love
a while back, it’s way
too late
to question what
on earth went wrong
between us ..
So no, I do not need
your pity
or your sympathy
right now ..
But thank you so very
much for coming ..
I am certain though
there will be others,
who are
more than grateful
and even
mightily impressed ..
I just wish things
had been different ..
So goodbye,
my dear friend and
with much love
and respect, I now
truly wish you
and yours, all the best ..
