Mystical Cicada

The throbbing sound of a mystical creature aluring its mate
Red ruby eyes, blue green body with sheer stain glass wings of amber
Shedding their shell they brake way in search for a new dawn
A new day of mercy for what they see they may want to return beneath
An M is marked upon each wing, some say it is a W a symbol of war
I would rather think it a sign of mystical, marvel, magnificent, or magical
Yet merciful still dwells in my head
For sins of humans have been seen
The innocense of a flying insect be free
Be admired, be understood for it lives differently
It looks differently, the wings of the cicada be a mystery indeed

I love this, I never looked at the cicadas this way, only always am relieved to hear them for the first time on holidays in France. The monotonous rythm is indeed shamanic in ways that lead you into a midsummer's night trance, if you let it. Next time in France or Italy, I will try this... Will be in 9 months or so🤔😅 sorrybit took me such aling time to find this poem😱✨
