After the Rain

When it rains, it pours…
And washes away the prints on the footpath:
--of those shoes which go nowhere,
umbrellas barely holding on,
coats drenched in pain,
and hints of hope for better days.
But when the sun kisses the pavement once again,
Even the poor man feels rich
when his worn-out hat looks bathed in gold.

Bernadette, love the way you turn things around.
To see the other side and bring it centerstage.
Positivity shines here and shines oh so brightly.
Beautifully done and sets me and perhaps other readers for the day ahead :)
Full uplifting honors and most deserving.
Will be reading more as the day progresses.
Hope you're keeping well and warm this season.

Shaun, your words shine brightly on my pages. Kind words of encouragementÂ
that warm my heart. For years I only wrote to myself, until my loving family
asked me to start sharing. This’s a giving and receiving relationship
between poet friends. And it’s a joy! Ah, what a joy!
Sending lots of sunshine your way,
BernadeteÂ

Long may your worn out hat be bathed in gold B... hugs x
What a beautiful thing to say, dear Marion!Â
I cherish it. The warmest hug, Â BÂ

I too are looking forward to better days ahead Bernadete.
I love your shared thoughts.
WB.
And I love the fact that you’re here sharing your thoughts and
your feelings with a genuine and open heart.
One can feel this in your poems and appreciate such an openness.Â
Stay well and keep strong, dear WilfordÂ
BernadeteÂ
Nothing like a touch of sunshine to fix a dull day!
And nothing like the words and encouragement of a dear friend
in poetry to touch someone’s heart.Â
Thank you and stay well, dear Tina. Â Â B

It just will not stop raining down here. A Nice Poem.
Hi Jac, I know, too much rain can damp the spirits,
but the spirits will lift up, as the sun always shine againÂ
and give all that green beauty. I always think, to haveÂ
the green we need the rain.
Wish you plenty of birdsongs. Â BÂ
Ian, if you read this, please know how much I truly like just knowing
that you read my work. It’s an honour, Dear Poet.
May life always look after you. Â BÂ
Greg, I notice you have been here too, and I really, really enjoyÂ
and appreciate your visit. Â Keep well & many blessings. Â BÂ
