Tears of Roses

Tears of Roses

O’ beloved harried demise
Tears flow as blooms arise
Cold tis lips to touch
Nevermore thy hand to clutch
Β
Adonis thou blood flows,
Colors adhere to garden rose
Soak barren aground
Take root earthbound

Fallow soil gift bestowed
Ouranos thou glorious abode
Nevermore shall I hold?
Thy eyes empty and cold
Β
Blossoms adorn thine grave
For one I could not save
Heartbroken I grieve for thee
Mine lover shall no longer be
