The Empty Ballroom

Dancing across an empty and cold ballroom
The floors are the darkest shade of green
As her mind tries to recapture her lover before the tomb
The days before his death, when his life still had a gentle breath,
Her tears fall like specs of glitter, their love was doomed,
Only her heels click across this place, the music is gone,
Death took it all with him, there are no remnants of her groom,
The last dance is for her alone, the image of him can't be seen,
As her feet come to a stop, her blue eyes shiver, as only silence looms.
