Poem -

Cat

Loose lines 5

1.

If you feed the bird
He'll get fat
And won't get off the ground
And be eaten by a cat.

And there's a little girl
We named Sylvia.

And In the rain
In 40 seconds
I weighed a kilo more
Than I did before.

I was running in the door.

2.

Listening to you talk
Is a bit like a song.

She says she's no less real
Than the real thing

Before long.

Hello Rory...

A Smart Bird should always know how much it can hold...

If by chance it chose that one extra nibble that put it over the top...

May it identify as Garfield and take a nap...

If not...

To the Cat it must surely go...

Bye bye Birdie bye bye...

Great fun write!

Thank you for sharing...

these are not loose lines are they .. they are well thought through, encourage all those who visit to read between them, then sit back, digest and enjoy .. N

* Brisbane Australia is in the northern state of Queensland. It is considered the tropics. Ergo the rain that falls and soaks.

* I do like this one in the series for the child like rhymes. You'll notice Cat and Fat, and More with Door, and Song with Long are not my usual rhymes. They are more obvious almost as to be aimed at the child's mind. It gives a different effect, which I quite like.
