A Day in Her Shoes

A day in her shoes?

get up get ready
baby on her side
diaper bag over her shoulder

kid by the hand
into the car
coffee in the cup holder

off to the day care
then to work
just to come home to work again

doing the laundry
cleaning the kids
where's all the good men

holding a crying baby
cooking the dinner
just to clean it all up alone

put the kids down
and once that's done
she's to tired to pick up the phone

off to bed 
for 6 hours sleep
nope..... babies crying again

change the diaper
baby nods off
As she lovingly looks with a grin

morning comes
she does it all over
feels like she's paying her dues

A single mom
a strong woman
that's just a day in her shoes
