A DOGS LIFE
Feelings emotions is it only a human condition
i wish dogs could talk, tell us their position
I know when i cry my dog knows i am sad
she looks at me doe eyed, saying its not so bad
She snuggles close her head close to mine
licks my nose, i`m here mam you will be fine
They could tell the story of your life
times of happiness and times of strife
They are a comfort and i am sure they show love
and its unconditional, they put you first your held above
Your never lonely either, always having them near
they protect you too if your showing fear
Intruders beware! their barking means
territory this portrays its in their genes
I guess i`ve answered my own question, do dogs feel
yes they do with out doubt, the love they show is very real

Of course you realize, you have struck my rawest nerve. You laud all our beautiful doggies, those gorgeous creatures that capture our hearts and ensconce our souls, forever dedicated to us. Their lives rotate around us. Their love, as you said, "unconditional". They ask only in return, for their food, walks and perpetual love. What innocence, what purity. What better soul to bond with, than that of ones cherished doggie.

I took the picture of poppy one day and it looks like shes smiling and posing
and it just got me thinking so wrote the poem
