A Little New to Me

Something is different this time, It's true.
I actually like the girl, she likes me,
and maybe for once in my life I can be normal.
I have to meet her dad soon,
freaks me out.
As if ex-marines could get any scarier.
But, hey, I'll roll with the punches.
I'm going to do this.
I will have a normal date.
No soul-bonding,
no romance,
just a normal date,
between a guy and a girl.
All will be well.
Or so I hope..
