A POCKET FULL OF LINT
No lecky in the meter
a pocket full of lint
-*-
Zero hour contracts
no wonder we`re all skint
-*-
Sing a song of sixpence
that’s all we have to spend
-*-
Can’t afford to buy new clothes
we have to make and mend
-*-
Were all in it together
I hear the crooked shout
-*-
We get thinner, with no dinner
While the crooked just get stout
-*-
One for all, and all for one
We hear the crooked say
But they don’t do without a thing
Cos they've the cash to pay
-*-
Children que at food banks
Parents get the blame
-*-
They should be in school learning
Or playing children’s games
-*-
We know who’s to blame for this
There on TV so much
-*-
Members of the government
Think were an easy touch
-*-
And then they rob us with expenses
Banker’s bonuses for what?
-*-
The only job that they did well
Was the job they did on us
-*-
Britain’s getting richer
But of course, we`ll never know
-*-
You can`t see all that glitters
When your wading through manure
-*-
So, it’s always two steps forward
And then pushed one step back
-*-
They think the poor are useless
And probably all on crack
-*-
And still, the crooked cry we`re fine
as they drink champagne, and dine
This is Britain at its worst
Not the Britain, that was mine
