A RollerCoaster

A RollerCoaster

Up and down, Up and down,
Across the way and back around,
Like a car, no Peace I've found,
riding so far from the ground,
Up the loop, and to the sand,
teetering between the air and land,
High when she's happy,
Rock bottom when she's low,
Each day a mystery, because, who really knows?
How she'll see me,
if she'll smile,
If I'm free to be me, even for a little while,
If I can see her,
If we can be,
If Her frowns and sighs,
are from her, or for me.
Wrenching me around,
staked to her whim,
All chances of escape are looking rather slim,
hard to find peace,
hard to regain control,
when I've strapped my heart to hers,
and she mans the console.
What a glorious ride.
