A SINGULAR MAN

They say that love just causes heartache and pain,
we don't want to go thro' all of that again;
Wrong! Do the guys want to be in a room on their own
with a bottle on the table and being home alone?

A friend of mine said that it was a great relief
not being told what to do anymore, like a thief;
Let's think a little - about tolerance, understanding,
purpose, un- isolation, fulfillment, what you're wishing.

It's what we're here for, whether you like it or not,
you can choose, no sweat, but there's something you forgot,
you forgot your spiritual obligation - you say you owe nobody,
Wrong! You owe it to yourself in order to be somebody.

Now your feet are on the desk, glass half empty,
you won't admit it but you're missing out on plenty.
