Absence

Absence

I don’t know how to deal with your absence
Your love is toxic but feels pure
Yet why am I trying anymore
I think you have no idea how much
This is really hurting me

You have no idea how fucking hard
Is is to pull yourself back together
When the pieces don’t fit
Or to find your place in a system
When betrayal and abandonment
Take your soul with them

How do I say goodbye
When my heart still wants to hang on
To find just a glimpse of hope
How do I know that when I let go
I’ll be able to cope
Without you.
