All My Friends are Gods and Goddesses

White light fills the crack in my mind

Recollection of things divine,

I once taught Gods to the city

Now returned from eternity

Fixed on the prize of patience-

Love led me to Beauty,

Through the forest in the starry night

Eclipsed by madness at the height

Of self mastery,

And what I found was everything,

Torn across the gulf of this city

Destiny will bring us together

God of my God,

Too late to resist Destiny,

I stepped in the deep end

And nearly drowned;

It was Justice’s hand that pulled me out,

No sense in reuniting now,

Beauty waits in costumed fantasy

Wisdom, longing for his everlasting company,

And longing for his promised infinity

Where my friends return to their divine affinity.
