New Year

The years seem to be flying by

It’s scary, that I can’t deny

I wonder where time has gone to

We’ve just started another year anew

Another three hundred and sixty five days

It’s just like a book with 365 blank pages

Given to us to write what we deem fit

Who knows, one might before the last page exit

Every New Year is here to  reminds us

Of how we need to take time and assess

It’s also a reminder that we are getting older

And then we are left to wonder

As each second, minute or hours spent

Is actually a step closer to the end

For some, a brand new year is really

Time to mark beautiful anniversaries

And be thankful for accomplishments

For some, it just like a punishment

A reminder of a loss loved one

A sudden realization of things not done

Time for anger and regrets

And a wish to bury some things and forget                                                         

It’s another new year and

I’m kind of disheartened

‘Cos there are so many things I wish

I had been able to accomplish

On the other hand I’m thrilled

‘Cos I’m still alive, those things can be fulfilled

It’s a brand new year….Write beautifully on those 365 pages
