Anxiety Attack

The choking of every relentless breath,
Heaving, in what feels like oblivion.
Searching in circles for meridian,
Terrified, by the thought of darkest death.
Up tempo is the hearts relentless beat,
Perspiring beads like clear fragmented glass.
Internal SCREAM; yet preserving some class,
Trembling inwardly, the pores excrete.
No light to be seen from self treachery,
Yet its exists in it's inner function.
A need for some medicinal unction,
Freedom from onlookers lechery.
Slowly gain a moment of composure,
Wait for anxieties final closure.

Utterly fantastic! Magnificently claustrophobic!
Your use of enveloped rhymes is, of course, the perfect stylistic choice to convey the sense of anxiety even subtly beneath the imagery.
A work of absolute poetry!!!

I can feel the way you feel!
I experienced the same with my daughter when she was 13, a difficult age to handle!
Yes, it's not a nice feeling however old, I could imagine it to be so much worse as a teen xx
Hi Lorna I know these feelings well
You explain the symptoms with
superb comparisons
"Perspiring beads like clear fragmented glass.
Internal SCREAM; yet preserving some class,"
Sometimes it feels like you want to scream
but you hold it in for your dignity`s sake
Well done such a well written piece
Best wishes Debs xx
