Poem -

Autumn

Feels like the first time

Autumn

I walk on a carpet of leaves again
It feels like the first time
I feel the breeze change once more
...it feels like the first time

Songs of summer have changed in tune
I still hear
As I still hold that season near
Dear, close to my heart
              Dear wonders impart

sumptuous colors, horizon...
lends its hues of red and bronze,
with splashes of orange
...to the fading greens of summer

Beauty never hides
Beauty always prides
Takes woes and cares to be marvelled at
              ...and lauded for its artistry
Mother Nature sings through the choir breeze
Taking the leaves from the bowing trees
             The symphony of autumn
             The harmony of seasons

I walk in a flurry of falling leaves again
It feels like the first time
I see the rich, extravagant colors once more
...it feels like the first time
