Poem -

Be my Valen-rhyme

Roses are red
Violets are blue
Is a tired old rhyme
Really nothing new

Rolled out each year
For Valentine's Day
In an attempt at humour
It's such a cliche

Some roses are red
That much is true
But only one violet
Has a colour that's blue

Most are nearer purple
Some lean towards red
Pink symbolises love
Not blue as is said

So this Valentine's Day
Think of something new
And if you want to mention colour
Then get the right hueΒ
