Poem -

Behind my eyes

Your reflection in my eyes,

Takes me to better times,

The sky open and blue,

A crimson tide,

I can't comprehend it in my mind,

This feeling I feel can't be mine,

I'm lost,

Confused,

I can't comprehend what to do,

A gem I can't touch,

To beautiful to be handled by mans hands,

I'm longing for a glimpse of you,

My eyes twitch,

Body aches,

As my heart burns,

With a sickness that can only be cured by you,

I'm waiting,

Anticipating,

Come back to me soon.

Valerie Beasley...

Hi Gordon!  This is a beautiful, sad write.  Longing for someone throughout the days, the nights and in between is an exhaustive occupation…but it seems there is no other way to get through your want, your need, your passion into the next day filled with way too many hours.  I have felt this way and really can relate to your "…my heart burns".
