Poem -

Better times

Better times

Fabrication fights the day
One caught within their tall depleted
Be thought not to cast aside
The feelings brought by oneโ€™s desire

In all one says one sees the light
That senses life once soul has flown
And all thatโ€™s left is cast aside
To burn in embers raising fire

Ask not what was or what may be
The swallow sought โ€“ the willow waning
Borne of many, one โ€“ stillness breaking
Chill winds fall to festive โ€“ feigning

They leave a breeze that sends love flying
To better times โ€“ escape denying
