bipolar

Happy happy, happy would be nice if I was,
but its just a feeling there is no meaning,
Its so exciting so much to do,
the buzz it just takes over you,
free as can be yet I feel so controlled,
my obscure behaviour cant be sold.
my life story condemned as its told,
Aliens, Armageddon and psychic ability,
who are you to tell me that's not stability,
Life's an adventure different for you and me,
no time for nothing it will eventually be.
Full of life, love in me soul,
thankful for the beauty god gave me,
but wait far to self obsessed really what beauty is there to see,
tights swapped for slobs writing poetry I sob.
Then comes the sad sad sad,
constantly thinking of the family I once had,
what was once an adventure is now just mad,
no sense to be found not a word not a sound,
nothing will help thank god for my health,
missed important dates lost all me mates,
who are you to slate,
oh no here comes the sway i wish it would just go away.

I also struggle with Bipolar Disorder and I could really connect with this piece it was beautifully written and I can connect with all the emotions that you were feeling at the time that you wrote this. Just know that having this disorder doesn't make us who we are but it make us stronger. It makes some of our best work come to life. Some the most famous writers struggled with Bipolar Disorder and their work was at it's best when they were at their lows or at their highs. Like Sylvia Plath, Herman Melville to name a few. Again, this was beautifully written and I wish you luck in the world.
Thankyou that was really lovely x
Dear Melissa feel extremely proud for writing an excellent poem about BPD- I have seen people struggling with mania and depression as I worked with them during my college days. Its really heartbreaking to see the on and off switch in their mood.Hope less people b face this extreme condition in life...
Sending hugs and love
