Birthday Boy
True love found, in twinkling eyes
Nine years on, never wavered
Its immeasurable your smile
Each too-brief moment savoured
Β Β Β Β Β Β Β **********
Walking farther with each step
A little cub in mother's pride
Briefest stroll becomes a trip
As boys step becomes man's stride
Β Β Β Β Β Β Β **********
One more candle to the cake
Time refusing to slow down
In the morning you'll awake
To wear your birthday crown
