BITTER SWEET

In our beginning....everything was sync,
Shared deep conversations,
Exchanged long smiles,
And warm gestures,
Hearts fluttering to the clear skies,
Always longing for each other.....

Now looking back,
I wonder when the cracks started sipping in,
where we started losing each other,
How we became blindfolded to each other's pain
Or we were never in the same place to
begin with.

Then came the blame shifting,
The apologies that were swept under the carpet,
The words that were never said.....or they were
said to the ear that wasn't willing to listen,
The selfish acts that beared no compromises,
Even the sacrifices that went unnoticed.

Maybe it's because we believed we were both 
giving more than the other,
Frustrated more than the other,
sometimes gave up.....when we should have
been there for each other,
Let go of each other's hands so many times in
our minds when our heart were still hanging on,
Maybe it was the refence points that became blurry,
Or it was just time lashing back after being 
together for so long.

But now looking back,
We had so much love that was wrongly
nurtured,
It wasn't the love that died....it was the understanding,
The hurt of feeling invisible at plain site,
The tiredness of trying to piece the puzzle together....
Forgot the beauty wasn't in the picture but in the
process. 

On that note....After the time apart
I will apol for not being able to see beyond your words,
Not forseeing your struggles that were beyond us,
Believing your heart has met its closure.....like mine did,
That in your memory the good will dance more than the
bad.....for this will forever be our bittersweet.
