Blood on the Hands of CPS

CPS came to take your child
They don’t care who you are,
You go before a ruthless Judge,
Paid off, lying without a care

Caseworker on the witness stand
Proud as a peacock but still a fool,
Perjury here and another lie there
False accusations are the tool

The Judges harsh order comes down 
As you sit in shock and disbelief,
Your child screams when being taken
While CPS sits back with a look of relief

Your child given to a foster family 
For how long you don’t know,
Given medications in foster care now
A child ridden with anxiety and vertigo 

You hope your child is being fed
Every day ebbs into another night,
You hope they are being looked after
But your child is out of sight

What happens now when you hear 
Through the media or in a town,
Of a precious one found dead
Through no fault of their own

The God almighty dollar rules
Foster care parents are to blame,
A light sentence to be handed down
Your hearts will never be the same
