A BLOWN KISS SHOULD NEVER MISS

In between the evergreen,
she has blown me a kiss, caught by the trees.
As I shake the branches, a dense and warm breeze
Circulates amid soft emerald leaves.

I then witness your kiss beginning to drift;
as it sails away
I chase my girls’ gift
eventually landing upon
a huge lily pad,
atop a frog pond.

I shyly smile as I notice you peek
From behind the brambles
Midway down the creek.
To myself I then think.....

“To capture this whimsical kiss,
I must prepare my playful snare
Next time I shall not miss!”

Then her cheeky giggle, muffled by spittle
Followed by tiptoe footsteps, so little
is slowly sneaking and creeping its way
within arms’ reach,
Hope she’s ready to play!

As I spin around, upset she’s been found
I grab hold of her hands as we fall to the ground.
Well that is the version I want to tell you
Simplistic love, I wish it were true.

The real story shall now resume
from those soft, sly eyes
my girls’ point of view.

As I spun around, upset she was found
my compassionate heart reflected her frown.
Thus into icy water, I dived head first
until my body was completely immersed.

Maybe 10 seconds later a head emerged
Gasping for air.
Or that kiss she had purged.
A weary, yet triumphant shout
Seen from dry land,
her vanished pout.

He then swallowed that kiss
Pointed to his throat,
rubbed his stomach
with good reason to gloat...

“Never miss a blown kiss
unless you’re equipped with a boat”.!
