Bonnie Queen

Bonnie Queen

Once upon a solstice chill,
Along waterfalls beguiled spill.
Mother Nature, bonnie queen,
Diadem of daisies, and leafy green.

Pining in wrenched forsake,
Crickets herald majestic wake.
Vernal, her flamboyant king,
Pledged return with spring.

Seasons past, months come and go,
Still, she awaits springtide to show.
Nature's nurturing beam wanes
Fauna succumbs to autumn stains.

Pox outbreak orange and red,
Populous take to their bed.
Winter,Β borne of heartache,
Teardrops, phasing snowflake.

At last virile chartreuse king,
Boldly rides, ushering spring.
Jubilant flora, curtsy in respect
Vernal, must tend to Gaia’s neglect.

Deeply he bows to royal command.
Kissing her outstretched hand,
Mother Nature’s doleful heart warms,
Dormant kingdom magically transforms.
