Boston’s Rainbow

Written in loving memory of our angel puppy Boston. We love and miss you boy. 💕🕊️

Boston’s Rainbow

Where tears are shed upon a grave
An Angel puppy rises strong and remade
Remembers all the love and happiness he gave
As he walks towards the light of the Rainbow bridge

He looks back at his humans saddened he must go
He barks aloud to try and let them know
That he is still here and it’s time to let him go
and make his way towards the Rainbow Bridge

He senses the upset, the hurt, the grief
But free from pain, he feels relief
He is happy he was loved, even though the time was brief
Pausing a moment at the gates of the Rainbow Bridge

If he could come back, even for just a day
It would only be to come and say
I wish things didn’t turn out this way
But I’m okay, I’m here at the Rainbow Bridge

Don’t feel like you didn’t do enough
It is enough to know that I am loved
Sometimes you will hear my bark from up above
on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge

He turns his head towards the sun
To a place that’s filled with food and fun
Where there is no leashes, only fields to run
and he makes his way across the Rainbow Bridge.

Wordy. Consistent. I penned a line. It goes, an unrelenting strength of words. And I like it. And you've got it. Maybe because it's heartfelt, all I know is my words are short, it sort of just turns out that way. I quite while I'm ahead. But I admire the consecration it takes to write in long verse. The rainbow bridge, eh? May we all be lucky enough to go the place dogs go.
