Poem -

Bought and Sold

Of all the paths I behold, none of them lead to gold.

Just new ways of growing old, ways of being bought and sold.

Do what your told.

And of all these things I see, none of them will come for free.

All the parts that make up me, are paid for individually.

You cannot be.

And when no path leads to wealth, people say "You've got your health."

"Find happiness within yourself." As they display their gun upon their shelf.

And think it's stealth.

So you feed them all your mirth, as you starve they grow in girth.

Ground to sand by the surf, pay for your death from your birth.

What are you worth?
