Bulletproof Truth...(A dedication)

Bulletproof Truth...(A dedication)

Inspired by your respect

Trust earned, well spent.

Able to take a bullet for you?

Russian Roulette takes two, that's true

In comparison, a shot in the dark

Will find its way by fated mark.

Heed my heart, lick salted wounds

Bite the bullet blame aimed at you.

My kindred kind, framed and shamed

Known by many, most by name.

Yet again, de ja vu

Places us in vivid view

The ins and outs of in between

Reveal blank spaces we've both seen.

We individually intervene

Alas assailants have entered our scene.

Here we've been, many times...Encore.

I held your head higher than ever before.

Armed assassin's then burst through the door,

Pointing their pistols,

Aiming for gore.

Shots were then fired.  BANG.!!

1,2,3,4....

You held my hand as I hit the floor.

Twice more shots were fired as they fled the store.

You saw

I'd take any bullet for you

Truth be told, my friend

I'm bulletproof.

Carey Milton.

Cool write Carey. I enjoyed the flow and rhyme plus the whole idea of taking a bullet for someone you love that is the truth.
