Business is Good

Business is Good

Business is Good
J. Allen Hewitt

Nothing personal, just doing my job...
those running towards, those running away, those in the way,
you shouldn't have been there.

Everything dies sometime, here's the express ticket...
shooting soldiers, slashing women, blowing up children,
it really is all too easy.

Bringing it all down, light a fire and rock the land...
homes wrecked, families slaughtered, cities destroyed,
Collateral damage is fun.

Both sides playing the same game...
Killing is our business,
and business is good.

Hi J. Allen, lovely sad write. It's sure easy to destroy than to create. Welcome to cosmofunnel. Warm regards.

thanx bro...but truth is what it is....
Cambodia & Nam was tough on me, the disturbing part was, how it brought the worst in everybody, even us..."The Good Guys", that's why I said "both sides playing the same game.", you could say things are different today, we really are the good guys, but from what I've talked to with guys and gals coming back from the middle east.....nothing's really changed, both sides are just better in disguising behind confusing legal terms, and that's what hurts :(

I am or was never a soldier. But I've been to a few war ravaged countries. And I can say for certain that they are not any better off after they've been 'liberated'. Self serving agendas of a few and good regular people die for it. Thoroughly enjoyed the read.
