California Dreamin'

California Dreamin'

Mama Cass adjusted her boots thinking she was rich,
unfortunately choking to death on a sandwich;
the Eagles checked into a hotel waking utopia,
in 1969 when they couldn't remember Caifornia.

The rain man wanted the sun so had to head west,
only others would knoow there was nothing left for best;
sharecroppers trekked thro' the book of Grapes Of Wrath,
heaven beckoned but were told: 'You must be having a laugh.'

We rollerskated along sunny promenades with trees,
it was amazing that you could forget your 'crap' with ease;
only to be confronted with some goddamn poof case,
we had to tell him: 'Why don't you get out of my face.'

Clint did a stint hiding the varicose veins, it was done,
with all this glitterati, we had some helluva fun in the sun.
