Call of Cthulhu

Call of Cthulhu

It slumbers 'neath the waves
As they crash amongst the crags
Rocks, vicious and jagged, inviting
Us into their clutches.
The call so deafening within our
Minds, so mad and dark, it lasts
For what seems like days.
Minutes pass like shadows in
Front of our eyes as we draw closer
To it's song. The rumble and growl of
It stirring in the watery depths, the
Screams of insanity creep in.
Old Ones wake to claim their time
And tear at our sleeping minds.
Closer still to the knives of Earth, they
Claw at the starboard planks. The cries,
The madness takes over. They jump
Into the icy sea as it rises from the
Trenches down below. Breaching the
Surface it claims it's sacrifice.
Un-nameable, vile and unholy, vaporous
Stench of death and dismay. It's
Claws and tentacles strip the galleon
Bare 'til I finally stare into the eyes
Of corruption.
