Calm before the storm

His wise eyes
Soft hands
Tight hugs
He is the calm before the storm
Until his wise eyes are looking into yours but you cant see bc his words have made the storm fester in your eyes.
His hands are the only thing you want on your skin until his soft hands are leaving bruises.
The tight hugs are reassuring until they hurt a little more each time and you are left gasping for air.
He is no longer the calm before the storm.
He is the storm

There is a subtlety to your poetry which is a joy to read.

The imagery here is extremely powerful; the quiet nature thereof gives it all the more weight and impact.

A tour de force!!
